Privacy Notice on the Processing of Personal Data

This is the English translation of our privacy notice under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"). In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.

As data controller, Özerler Filo / Özerler Rent a Car (the "Company") processes your personal data within the scope described below.

Personal data we process

• Identity and contact details: first name, last name, phone number, email address; optionally date of birth and the year your driving licence was issued.
• Request details: selected car, pick-up and return dates/times, your notes.
• Documents (optional): images of your ID document and driving licence, if you choose to upload them.
• Transaction security: browser information and an irreversibly hashed form of your IP address.

Purposes of processing

• Receiving and assessing your pre-booking request and contacting you,
• Verifying your ID and driving licence before entering into and performing the rental agreement,
• Running information security processes and preventing misuse,
• Fulfilling legal obligations.

Legal grounds

Your personal data is processed under KVKK Art. 5/2 (c) where it is directly related to entering into or performing a contract, (ç) where it is necessary for the data controller to fulfil a legal obligation, and (f) on the basis of legitimate interest.

Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to our hosting and email service providers in Turkey only to the extent necessary to provide the service, and to authorised public authorities where required by law. Images of ID documents and driving licences are never sent by email.

Retention period

• Uploaded ID and driving licence images are kept only for as long as needed to assess the request and for no more than 30 days, after which they are securely deleted.
• Pre-booking records are kept for the periods required by the relevant legislation.

Your rights

Under KVKK Art. 11 you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, request information, ask for correction or deletion, object, and claim compensation for damages. You can send your requests to info@ozerlerfilo.com or in writing to our branch address.
